Athletic Medicine
Our Athletic Training staff is specially trained to prevent, evaluate, and care for sports injuries. Area high schools, colleges, and the Tennessee Titans all trust our staff to keep their athletes in the game. As a part of our rehabilitation team, Athletic Trainers apply their special skill set to ensure your readiness to return to play and minimize future re-injury.
The Return To Play program
- A rehabilitation-styled program often found amongst professional athletes, but available to everyone.
- Concentrated therapeutic exercise focused on regaining the strength, power, endurance, and stamina required by demanding sports.
- Carefully designed sport-specific exercises that gradually return an athlete to their full pre-injury ability level.
- Baptist Sports Medicine believes that all athletes deserve access to top-level medical care, especially the sideline of high school athletics.
- A community service that provides Athletic Training care onsite at the school on a daily basis.
- Athletic Training care specifically includes the identification and acute care of athletic injuries, the complete rehabilitation of injuries, and preventative training and/or care to minimize injury.
- A program designed to ensure all athletes have access to a knowledgeable medical professional when competing.
- BSM Athletic Trainers can come to a community site and provide injury prevention and acute injury care during area tournaments or events.
- A fee may apply based on location or duration.

- Basic exercise or care recommendations will be made available following the assessment, appropriate to the nature of the injury.
